The Departments of Statistics invites applications for:

Tenure-Track Position at the Rank of Assistant Professor

All areas of statistics will be considered, with special consideration to the area of theoretical statistics.  Applicants are expected to have an active research program and a commitment to teaching excellence.  A Ph.D. in statistics or a related field is required.

Created in 2006, IU's Department of Statistics currently offers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and maintains the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center.  The usual teaching load for core faculty members is 3 courses per year.  More information about the department can be found at its website:  http://www.stat.indiana.edu.

The search will continue until the position is filled.  Receipt of application by November 13, 2011, will ensure consideration for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Joint Tenure-Track Position at the Rank of Associate Professor
with Tenure in Sociology and Statistics.

Applicants at the advanced Assistant Professor level without tenure will also be considered.

Candidates should have expertise in advanced statistics and quantitative methodology and should be able to teach courses in these areas. The candidate should have an active research agenda both in a substantive area within sociology and in statistical methodology. Candidates must have a PhD in Sociology, Statistics or a related field with strong potential for excellence in teaching and research.
