Master of Science in Applied Statistics


Course Requirements:

A total of 31 credit hours, including the following 4 courses:

STAT S520: Introduction to Statistics
STAT S631: Applied Linear Models I
STAT S632: Applied Linear Models II
STAT S690: Statistical Consulting
Two courses should be chosen from the following:
MATH M463: Introduction to Probability Theory I
STAT S620: Introduction to Statistical Theory
STAT S625: Nonparametric Statistics
STAT S626: Bayesian Theory and Data Analysis
STAT S637: Categorical Data Analysis
STAT S640: Multivariate Data Analysis
STAT S670: Exploratory Data Analysis

The remaining 12 credit hours should be taken in an area relevant to the field of Statistics and must be approved by the Director of Graduate Studies.

Research Paper: Not Required.

PLEASE NOTE: Admission to this program requires that the student be admitted to another graduate program at IU, has permission from his or her primary advisor, and is in good academic standing.
