Graduate students will have four graduate programs in statistics to choose from, all administered by the new Department
of Statistics.
Ph.D. Minor in Statistical Science
The Ph. D. Minor in Statistical Science is awaiting final approval from the Board of Trustees, but students can
receive it beginning in Fall Semester, 2008. It has been approved by the campus.
Master of Science in Applied Statistics
We hope to have interim approval for this Master's degree program by Fall 2008. Students who are interested in it
may begin taking courses now, but will have to wait until its final approval before applying.
Master of Science in Statistical Science
We also hope to have interim approval for this Master's degree program by Fall 2008. Students who are interested in it
may begin taking courses now, but will have to wait until its final approval before applying.
Ph. D. in Statistical Science
We are targeting Fall 2009 for approval of the Ph.D. program.
Note again that students may begin taking classes before any of these programs are in
place. These courses can then be applied towards the minor, or
towards the degree if you are admitted into one of the programs.
Please contact the department for recommendations about which
courses to take before you register for them.
In order to register for our courses you will need to be either a
student in another program on campus or a continuing nondegree student.
For more information about the latter option please visit:
the graduate school's information on this.
Our course offerings for the last two years and for next year can be found via the links to the left of this page.
Please contact the department for further information.
